Q: How much does Cub Scouts Cost?
A: To join Pack 425 the cost is normally $50 per year plus uniform and activity fees. Dens will also charge a small amount each month (usually $5) to support each den’s activities. (Financial aid programs are available for qualifying boys)

Q: Do the boys where a uniform?
A: Boys are required to own a uniform consisting of a Shirts, Neckerchief, Slide & Patches. A Hat and Belt are optional but recommended.

Q: Do Parents need to attend meetings?
A: Depending on the level of the Cub Scout required Parental involvement varies. Tiger Cubs (1st Grade) work with an adult partner (usually a parent) on projects throughout the year. For Cub Scout (2nd & 3rd Grade) and Webelo Scouts (4th & 5th Grade) parental attendance at Den meetings are not required but are highly recommended. Scouting is for families. Parents are required to attend the monthly pack meetings. Parents are expected to maintain respect and decency at the meetings, therefore we ask that parents attending meetings set a good example by not disrupting the Scouting Event by talking during meetings or being otherwise disruptive.

Q: Can our other children come to meetings?
A: Cub Scouting is about Families. Siblings are allowed to participate in all the events that Cub Scouts do. They can attend Den & Pack meetings as well as often there are special activities for siblings. Parents are expected to supervise siblings at all events and if siblings become a distraction to the Cub Scout or to the meeting, parents may be asked to wait outside with the siblings.

Q: How can Parent’s get involved?
A: Involved Parents are the key to scouting. Without parent involvement Cub Scouting cannot be. Parents are involved as leaders, helpers, event planners, and many other aspects of scouting. No past knowledge of Scouting is required and training is available.
