Summer Camp

Summer camp opportunities include eight local day camping experiences for Cub Scout-aged boys entering grades 2-5 and resident camp at Camp Carpenter's Cub World in Manchester for the same age group. Weekend programs for families with Cub Scouts are also available at Camp Carpenter.

Camp truly is the highlight of the cubscouting experience for many boys. Either Day Camp, Overnight Camp, or even Family Camping, the boys learn alot and have a great time.

While I leave the decision on what type of camp to send your son to up to you, I recommend that your son go to at least one of the camps.

Below I've compiled some information about the various forms of camping available. If you have any questions please contact me anytime. My email address is afitzgib@comcast.net and my phone numbers are h:603-595-7966 and c:603-765-4330.

Remember that cost should not elimate your son from going to camp. If you need financial assistance please let me know and I will work with you to provide your son a way to camp.

Weekend Family Camping

2008 Family Camping Dates

July 12-13

July 26-27

August 9-10

The Daniel Webster Council offers three fun weekends of family camping at Camp Carpenter in Manchester, NH.  The sessions begin on Saturday morning and conclude on Sunday morning with three meals provided in our dining hall.  Cub Scout-age boys may attend with their mother, father, or the entire family.  Weekend Family Camp is a great introduction for Cub Scouts and their parents to see what Camp Carpenter Cub World is all about!

Many of the program areas offered at Cub World Resident Camp will be open for the family to enjoy.  Cub Scouts and their families can use the extensive waterfront for swimming, boating and fishing.  Test your shooting sports skills at the archery and BB ranges, make a craft, or take a nature hike.  Special programs are offered as well, so there’s plenty of exciting activities to choose from!  And of course, no camping experience is complete without the spirit-filled campfire that is put on by the staff on Saturday evening.

Accommodations for the weekend include two-person wall tents on platforms with cots.  Wash facilities are at each campsite and shower houses are available.
